Info needed ASAP on optical scan ballot marks for an absentee ballot |
|
This relates to an absentee ballot. If there is a mark outside the Kerry box, does it invalidate the vote? In this case, the box was throughly filled in but the person accidently made one short line out of the box. The line actually points towards Kerry's name. Should the person get a replacement ballot or should the vote be okay?

It might invalidate the vote for Kerry. Arrows don't mean shit to the computer.
