John Kass is a columnist for the Chicago Tribune. His columns appear on the second page of front section or in the editorial page. Considering the Tribune's circulation size (over 1 million), Kass has considerable influence and column could be highly informative and a great place for people to go for information about the election. On Thursday, October 28th, 2004, five days before the election, John Kass did write about the important upcoming event. He choose to write about 'lies' even. Important lies that Bush made in regards to the war in Iraq? No. Important lies regarding 'plans' that Kerry made at campaign stops? Not quite. Frivolous misstatements that Kerry has made about baseball games? BINGO!

"He already has proved he's a Red Sox fan, like the time last summer when he applauded the great "Manny Ortiz."
Unfortunately for Kerry, there is no Manny Ortiz on the ballclub. The Red Sox do have a David Ortiz and a Manny Ramirez, though.
I suppose if Ortiz and Ramirez were united in a Massachusetts civil union--something tasteful, not overdone--then one of them could call himself Manny Ortiz, if he wanted to."
Clever huh? Important information for voters to have before going to the polls. If you read on you find out that Kass is a White Sox fan mad that the White Sox don't get any attention because they haven't won since 1917 and nobody ever cares about them.
"But there is no mention of the hapless White Sox in such elitist media theories, proving once again the media is unaware of its inherent bias in supporting Kerry."
Read the article and complain to Kass if you feel so inclined. He calls himself a 'journalist' but if he spent half the time researching this article on researching G.W. lies, he would have a column twice as long.
