9. Well, it was one of those "both sides" kind of reports.
I'm biased, of course, so it seemed to me that the "anti-" side made a really good case. But I'm not the least bit objective, so I really have no idea whether the danger of BBV would have come through for anyone who wasn't already at least passingly familiar with the issue.

I thought there were good points made about the hackability and secrecy of the programming for electronic voting machines. But for someone who's never thought about the issue? I really don't know, but I think the report succeeded in raising some relevant questions.

4. It's a little late now
Why couldn't they do this six months ago when it might have made a difference? All this is going to do is scare people.

8. I don't know. I'm not too good at multi-tasking...
Was reading DU when the 60 Minutes report came on. I missed that particular detail. I thought it was a pretty decent report, overall, but I didn't catch who the BBV apologist was. (dangit...)

10. That was Conny McCormack.
She runs elections in Los Angeles County & I agree she is either not too bright or hiding something.

Another "idiot" was also featured. When it was pointed out that testers who clicked on two candidates for the same office caused a vote to be registered for a third candidate, she said "You're just trying to trick the machine. Normal persons wouldn't do that." Here name? Theresa LaPore.
