10. Well since you asked (lol).....

This was kind of pet project of mine in the late 90's.

These people I know from scamway are filthy rich. The wife has three BEDROOMS she uses as closets. They have four nannies for three kids - all homeschooled very religiously. Well, they got rich from selling the tapes and videos and holding seminars where they keep you awake for the whole weekend with lots of praying and religious reference all over the place. They call them "tools" - and you HAVE to buy them to "succeed". Only, the downline people don't get to sell them, they can only buy them.

There are some heart wrenching stories of people who have lost everything trying to make a living at it. I recommend http://www.cocs.com/jhoagland/ it isn't updated much anymore, but has some good links. When our friends came over one night to show us their new "business" I did some research and it's frightening. I googled "anti-amway".

Molly Ivans did a column around 1997 on them - she nailed their contributions to rnc and their legitimacy.

at least it feels like one. Just look into the vacant stare of an Amway representative. They all actually believe that they can be gazillionaires by selling Amway products door to door. Dream chasers, indeed.
