Zogby is still doing interactive polls
What the hell is going on here? Just got an email from Zogby and took one of his interactive polls. Since I live in NJ I know it is not a "battleground" poll, but is he still polling other states? Seems very strange.

2. I got one the night before election day 4 years ago.
I imagine I'll get one this year too.

3. I don't trust Zogby interactive polls
They're heartening, but I can't help but feel they skew too Dem. They're consistently more pro-Kerry than any other poll, and often with results that are off from other polls by a decent margin.

I'm not saying that Kerry's behind. Just that I don't know if the interactive polling is entirely accurate.

Then again, maybe we'll wake up Nov. 3 and find that his results were exactly right and all the convention polling totally wrong. Who knows? But for now, I think skepticism is warranted.

4. I completed it today too. I live in Ga.
I have no idea how they select their sampling on the interactive polls. It sure has to be a lot easier for them to do this kind of poll than the phone calls, and they could do a lot more of them, because all the data is already electronic, all they have to do is run a program.

I've heard some pollsters say the interactives still have some problems, and they're still working on it, but no one said what the problems are.

6. Problem
how can you obtain a sample that is representative of the electorate as a whole when the vast majority of the people taking your surveys are political junkies from both sides of the spectrum?

7. That could be one of the problems Zogby has a problem with.
Zogby has admited they have some problems with their internet polling. They've never been specific, but I suspect that may be one of their problems.

I think it should give them a little insight into how committed the people are though. They have had the question "How likely are you to change your mind" on all their polls for quite a while now.

5. Leave Zog alone
I like John cause he is the anti-pollster. He is trying something new, and it probably doens't work. But he is willing to try and fail. his poll is off, but we'll see.

9. I took one yesterday.
I have a feeling he is just trying to figure out alternate polling schemes because the future of polling the old way (land-line phones) looks bleak. He may be using these online polls as a way to get some baseline numbers in order to work up a formula for a hybrid polling system.
