Just heard Aaron Brown on CNN give Cheney
Edited on Tue Oct-26-04 09:33 PM by clydefrand
a scathing rebuke about his comment today about the war in Iraq being a remarkable success. He said, "With all due respect, Mr. Vice President, we aren't even close to a remarkable success."

Wow, guess whose Christmas card list he won't be on. Speak of double glare, what would Cheney do if he had seen/heard him say that? Triple snarl and double stare?

I'm sending Aaron Brown a thank-you note!

3. Edwards already ripped him for that too
MINNEAPOLIS - Sen. John Edwards (news - web sites) on Tuesday assailed Vice President Dick Cheney (news - web sites) for claiming Iraq (news - web sites) was "a remarkable success story" and argued that the Bush administration is out of touch with the reality of the failure there.

"Eleven hundred American soldiers have lost their lives, more than 8,000 have been wounded. Terrorists are flowing in. Americans are being kidnapped. We see beheadings on television. The costs are now $225 billion and counting. And, knowing all of this, yesterday all Dick Cheney could say was that Iraq is a remarkable success," Edwards said at the University of Minnesota

Edwards also blamed the GOP ticket for nearly 400 tons of explosives going missing in Iraq. The White House played down the significance of the missing weapons, but the Democrats seized on the disappearance as proof of Bush's "incompetence."

"These are exactly the kind of explosives terrorists want. They're the dangerous weapons we wanted to keep from falling in the hands of terrorists. And now these explosives are out there and we have no idea who's got them. Dick Cheney calls that a remarkable success," Edwards said.

9. John Edwards is my hero
I think we are witnessing the cracks in the Bush/Cheney facade.....THEY ARE GOING DOWN and they know it.....KERRY AND EDWARDS IN A LANDSLIDE......" they are going down Baby]..... and I am loving it... it is breaking our way.... Bush/ Cheney are stumbling all over their message and both are getting real angry..... they feel that Kerry and Edwards are not worthy and they don't understand why thry are loosing... somewhat the same as Popi Bush's remark in 1992 when he called Clinton and Gore a couple of Bozos....

No Bush will ever understand that they are not KINGS.......and that We are not fond of their brand of fascisim. Well I am sorry because to be fair there are alot of Christian/Right who feel that ,since they drank the kool-aid, GWB looks exactly like Jesus.......and the rapture is a coming.....

11. I so remember that Bozo comment on the way to work one
day and I thought how presidential is that kind of remark to call these far superior intellects Bozos?? Of course, I already hated his guts and that made me even more disgusted with him.

6. Clue that we're winning ...
The corporate media will only start dishing out "scathing rebukes" to Bush and Cheney once they start perceiving them as losers.

This little incident just might be a sign that the political zeitgeist of the corporate media is changing ... not by choice but because of the will of the people.
