How Do You Feel About Phony/Strawman Polls on Kerry Position

I am becoming more and more convinced that there is an organized
attack on Kerry and Clark using the falacious "STRAWMAN" tactic
to slime them (that is, missrepresent the record or position of
a candidate, the attack it as horrible or stupid).

In the case of Kerry's view of the U.S. relation to the United Nations, John Kerry has at least half-dozen major statements on the Senate Floor or in press releases that are fully consistent, going back to the 1980's.

Kerry's issue with Dean was his apparently careless use of language which contradicted a half-century of U.S. policy. When Dean used the word "permission" he broke an established rule of U.S. Foreign policy of never subjugating U.S. national security to a decision of the
U.N. or any other multinational organization.

Kerry was the first to layout an elegant and detailed proposal on Iraq with a return to the U.N. and transfer of the power of the "Coalition Authority" to the U.N. Kerry a committed multilateralist. He has never attacked the U.N. on Iraq.

To say that he has is slime.

1. Strawman are very popular around here.
Dean just knocked one out the other day when he said that Bush and his Washington Dem opponents were all thinking that Saddam going down was a victory in the war on terror. Whew what a knock out. Too bad it's a lie.

I dare you to find me a quote on that one Dean.

And don't give me that crap about "Dean didn't necessarily mean Kerry". He sure meant to make people think he meant him.

2. John Kerry is his own worst enemy - polls or not.
He votes for war and then tries for months to act as if he didn't.

He has this pro UN history, as you insinuate, yet he now disses it with the same verbage used by the extreme rightwing xenophobes.

He is wearing out the "I'm a vietnam vet" welcome mat in record time.

He continues to make negativity his main campaign thrust, even though he gets signals from every quarter that this is a losing proposition when used against fellow dems.

From this part of the gallery, I don't think John Kerry needs "strawman polls" to hurt him. He seems to be doing a grand job of self destruction without any such help.

3. I assume you are a thoughtless operative of the "Non-Attack ATTACKS"

Many of Kerry's staff quit the campaign months ago because he so
fiercely opposed attacks on Dean during the an entire year that Dean launched his pernicious campaign to undermine Kerry's image and
relevance --
"Washington Insider",
"Never accomplished anything for the people,"
"cockroaches,"
"Bush-lite"
"Bush-enabler".

Kerry allowed Dean to demean him in everyway and now Dean call foul
when Kerry fights back. It is so ludicrous its a laugh. THANKS
