Kent State: Michael Moore rocks the house!
Michael Moore brought his Slacker tour to Ohio on Sunday night (10/24).
A packed MAC Center on the campus of Kent State University had a great time and Moore did a great job motivating this crowd to get busy these final days to help get Kerry elected.

Moore realize Ohio is very important to the Kerry campaign and the slacker tour featured three very special guests.

Michael spent some time talking about the history of Kent State and the famous events that took place years ago. He's been on the campus for at least two of the anniversaries of the horrible National Guard incident that left 4 dead many years ago.

Michael ran through his regular litany of material including some hilarious Bush TV commercials that he has put together. He also ran one of the bonus features from his F 9/11 DVD (Iraq before the war) and read some passages from the Bill O'Riley's children book.

Michael also read a letter from a soldier's mom. Her son was killed in Iraq. He also recounted some stories surrounding his famous Oscar speech and the military reactions that have changed from outrage to appreciation and respect.

The first special guest was Roseanne Barr who did a great comedy bit portraying the typical uniformed voter. Very sarcastic -- and right on the nose.

The second special guest was Tom Morello of Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine. Tom played 3 songs including the song he did for F 9/11. He was great!

The third special guest was Sgt. Abdul Henderson who is featured in F 9/11. Sgt. Henderson was unbelievable. He had the crowd on the edge of their seat and up on their feet . He expects Ohio to turn out for Kerry and will personally be offended by anybody who doesn't vote. His speech was powerful and more people need the opportunity to hear him speak. I was nearly brought to tears listening to him speak. This man loves America and knows the truth about Iraq.

Michael finished the night with a great stump speech; passed out the Ramen noodles and underwear; and encouraged everybody to volunteer and get out the vote!

2. you're welcome
I was on the fence about going.... I'm already on board the Kerry train and had a long day at Browns stadium... a tough loss to Philly.

I had already bought my tickets and it was only an hour drive.
I'm glad I went. Really motivated me to continue working these final days.

I've been volunteering with MoveOn here in Cleveland but I've been real busy with work and other commitments. This rally was just what I needed to give me that extra drive to keep pushing for a Kerry win.

This show was fantastic. If Michael is anywhere near your city -- you should take the opportunity to see him in person.

I'm told most of these shows have ran about 90 minutes. Our show was over 2 hours. I don't know if the other estimates were wrong; or if Ohio just got the extra long show because our state is so critical to this election.

let's get out the vote!

3. Well I just finished watching F9/11 for the second time
Michael Moore is a true American hero.

It's awesome that you are working to GOTV & help Kerry Win.

I've done what I can considering I live in Canada but have American friends. 11 of which I have convinced to vote for Kerry.

4 of them have never voted before so they are excited to go to the polls and help make a difference.

I will be chewing my finger nails of watching the results come in from Ohio.

Everyone can make a huge difference if we all do our part.

:toast: to You!
