1. Now that I have given them all my money,
I give freely of my time.

2. I think about $2k through the election cycle
Between MoveOn, Kerry, Kucinich, various senate and house races (mostly through MoveOn), Arianna Huffington and the DNC.

Definitely more than I can afford, but damn, it's probably a better investment for my son than putting it away for education directly.

3. I'm foreign so the Kerry campaign had to give me back money...
They sent me back a $250 check for going over the $1000 mark, which I promptly turned over to the Democratic party.

I sure could have used that now though. Damn.

5. More than I can count
I used to make a six-figure income as a creative consultant for big corporations. My two biggest clients I am not exactly proud of, but I was young, raising a family, not as politically astute. So, after Bush was elected I ditched all my clients and have devoted the last three years to activism. My savings are gone. I went to my first job interview yesteryday in literally 10 years. I've moved to another state since Bush, so I don't even have old clients to draw on.

So, I suppose you could say I've given the dems just about everything I had.

But, I have two draft-age sons, and now I hear I have a draft-age wife, too. Bush has been a disaster for my country. My attempts to help bring about his ouster have been worth every penny. (My 1995 Ford Escort is a poor substitute for my 320i, though).
