that he would have (apparently) thought an invasion of Iraq a likely thing within a few months after 9/11 ("last year or so" ). -- Well, at least he knows who he is dealing with.

But I can't go with this statement (speaking to invading Iraq -- Feb 27, 2003 -- that is, before the invasion,): "We're too far along the way to stop back (sic) now. And you have no choice but to go forward, so be resolute, but please tell the American people to expect trouble and don't think it's going to be a cakewalk."

You are never too late to pull back from folly (or evil, if you prefer). And resolution can be adherence to principle, or it can be just a mask, a mask put on to hide pride and willfulness.

And I must say that the first part of the (linked) interview shows a side of Rev Robertson that I haven't seen much of.
