Which *GORE* State Will Kerry Lose? (MAYBE)
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 10:31 PM by liberalpragmatist
Okay. First of all, I think there's an extremely solid chance that we'll sweep all of Gore's states. However, it's highly probable if the race ends up going down to the wire that at least 1 Gore state will switch.

For the longest time, one would have had to guess Wisconsin. Now, however, that's not as clear. Kerry seems to be doing much better in Wisconsin after the debate.

So I'm going to guess Iowa (sorry Iowa DU'ers!). I don't think it's going to happen, because I think Kerry's gonna win with a comfortable electoral vote margin and a decent popular vote margin (+5, 51-46). But if it's a super-close race, if it has to be 1, I honestly *think* it'll be Iowa. (Hold out Iowa DU'ers though! Keep working!)

ON EDIT: Okay, you got me - I accidently wrote "RED" instead of blue - I edited to say "Gore" - but nevertheless, my main point is clear. If Kerry has to lose one or more states that Gore won, which do you think it'll be?

3. A few of the close states from last time will be equally close this time.
Edited on Wed Oct-20-04 10:12 PM by elperromagico
Look to Iowa, Wisconsin, and possibly Minnesota. I think they'll all go to Kerry, but they'll be close.

On Bush's side, he's likely to lose New Hampshire. Ohio and, of course, Florida will be close as well. We may also see a close result in Virginia, North Carolina, and West Virginia. And dare I forget Nevada?

It's funny how the close states seem to generally fall into clusters.

8. Did you mean which BLUE state? Otherwise, your question is...
strange. But to answer straightforwardly: Mississippi is a red state Kerry will lose. Also Kansas. Thankfully, they both have few electoral votes.

15. Mississippi has gone from red to pink and my impressions are
that the repuke leadership in the state are very nervous. The repuke gov screwed the poor and disabled by getting a law passed through the repuke legislation that cut medicaid benefits. Federal judge had to order they be put back on the rolls.

Education has lost tons of money and educators are po'd.
Colleges have fired "liberal" professors and have started to monitor their emails and activities.
Chester "Trent" Lott and the Cock,Cochrunt have been going around spreading rumors that bases will be added to the base closure lists.
The guardsmen and reservists are being held with threats that they will have no leave before they ship out to Iraq.
Some of those serving in Iraq are being sent on suicide missions and refuse to go.
Those serving are using "hillbilly" armor on their vehicles because they are not properly armored.
I saw a train loaded with guard vehicles the other day that were antiquated, but newly painted.
More Kerry signs and bumper stickers in my area of Mississippi than B/C.
Stations in LA and AL that are aired in Mississippi play B/C commercials.
DOJ has a case pending against dem trial lawyer and judges and just had the grand jury issue a 2nd superseding indictment without many changes, just doing it for the publicity (imho) and to remind folks how evil trial lawyers are to hurt Edwards.

I think their internal polls have them worried. MS may go to *, but the number of democratic votes may surprise many.

17. I know, and boy do I want to embarass that sorry carpetbagger!
He should have stayed in DC - if we let him stay around, he will privatize ever government function to make his buds rich. I hope he is caught up in the scandals of this admin. His lobby company has been mentioned in articles about the native american casino scams. Maybe he is tied to the repuke oil scandal in TX too. He must be stopped.

9. Hopefully Missouri.
Roger Wilson head of MO Democratic Party is a good man. He inherited a fractured Democratic Party.

But the Democratic party in Missouri is lame with no heart, whatever gains for the national ticket will be in spite of the stupid ads (running for the Democratic ticket Governor and Senator) and abandonment of Missouri Democrats. I am talking to everyone I can trying to promote the Democratic ticket. I know several Democrats who are resorting to similar tactics. These are sad times for Missouri Democrats.

The only hope is the Republican ads are as ill conceived as the Democratic ads. Bush assumes he has Missouri and has equally abandoned Missouri which may be a fatal error.
