Should my newly energized friend drive people to polls in VA or NJ?

This is my old college roommate who is a great friend, we talk on the phone. He has become energized to do something for the cause through our conversations (I can claim some little credit!) He gave to the DNC today. He lives and works in the DC area but his family is in NJ where he frequently goes home and stays during the weekend etc.

He decided on NJ because he checked and felt polling was a little too close for comfort. He contacted a Kerry or Dem office there. I told him this sounded fine although I had originally suggested VA since he could easily drive to northern VA.

Thoughts?

1. VA is close and it would shake em up bad when it goes blue

2. He is bummed because he could have declared residency in VA

this year, since he moved, and has a place both in MD and VA. Hadn't thought about it (I might not have either) but his vote would be much more useful in VA than in MD...:(

Have him go to the Northern Virginia Regional Office in Fairfax. The place is hopping and the people who run it treat the volunteers great!!! NJ is no problem, VA can be ours and every volunteer counts.

Assumming that the reg/gotv is strong where it needs to be.
