Scary thought...Nov 3 until January 20
Will Bush pre-emptively pardon his entire staff? Likely. But even scarier, will he use the opportunity (along with Cheney's hunting buddy on the SCOTUS), to pack the Supreme Court? He doesn't need a lot of retirements, just use that ol' BushCo charm to pursuade a couple key players to step aside? Hmmm. Don't like that at all!

1. SCOTUS's
He can appoint an entirely new bench if he wants to, but they have to go thru the Senate/House confirmation process, and I don't think they'd get thru before 1/20. The Dems could filibuster and foot-drag until time runs out. I THINK.

If anyone knows for sure, please correct. Thanks !

2. I have to admit being nervous
With all the freeps already pulling their assault weapons out from under the bed in anticipation of "voter fraud", Kerry might want to take to wearing kevlar.

3. If he would try this I would LOVE to see Kerry, as a member of the Senate
pull a good ole fashioned "Mr Smith Goes To Washington" kinda filibuster. Refuse to give up our future by refusing to give up the floor!!!

Once the EC meets and votes Kerry is legally the President. If anything happened to Bushit after 12/13 JK would take office. I seriously doubt you could do anything after that. The only one that could pressure would be Rehnquist.IF ANYONE else wanted to guarantee a Bushit replacement, they would have already retired and would not have waited this long. When does Congress take its holiday break. It could never get confirmed anyway. It would not be my choice ,Who cares. We trade one neo con for another.

We just need to give JK an army of body guards until 12/13
