1. I think Kerry will get way more than that- I say 57%
newly registered voters who want Bush out are not being counted.

3. It's very sad, but the way I see it is....
Bush 48%, Kerry 49%, Others 3%

Bush 305, Kerry 233

What does it say about this country if * is re-selected or elected? Of course, Nixon was re-elected. So, I guess we haven't changed. On the other hand, * is a pretty poor candidate, and Kerry is a very good candidate, so.... if a poor repug can beat a good Dem, it is a sad future for us to ponder. Who will be able to beat Jeb in 2008? It better be someone from the South!

* has ruined everything: environment, jobs, economy, stock market, deficit, human rights, international respect and relations, and, of course, the horrible invasion of Iraq that has squandered lives, resources, and good will, and has made terrorism worse, not better. If he is re-selected or elected, it tells us something gruesome about this country.

4. I already predicted a landslide...
I said 72% for Kerry in popular vote. I was then summarily beaten and forced to view pictures of bush's goober for being too optimistic. Therefore I have decided to amend that prediction into a more reasonable zone so I don't get pounced on by well-meaning pessimists....so...here goes:

70% Kerry 29% Bush.

:)

8. Today, I feel sad and discouraged. bush will cheat, bush will steal it.
The courts and the paperless voting machines will help him do it. The republicans have no compunctions regarding stealing elections. They are thugs, they will do ANYTHING to win. ABSOLUTELY ANYTHING. Too many big-time crooks are banking on a bush win for them not to strongarm this race.

ACTUAL
Popular Vote: Kerry 50%, bush 46%, other 4% (mostly Nader, Badnarik)
Electoral Vote: Kerry 310, bush 228

ADJUSTED
Popular Vote: Kerry 47%, bush 47%, other 6%
Electoral Vote: Kerry 248, bush 290

These states will be outright stolen by the bush campaign: OH, FL, WI, NM

The "liberal media" will bombard us with demands that we "get over it", that John Kerry's "anti-war record" was proof to voters in key swing states that he's unfit to lead, and that bush is a strong leader who will use his mandate to keep us safe.

I am sad. My country is dying, and I don't know what to do anymore.

9. I'm optimistic. Thanks to Bev & the gang, the Repugs didn't get
coast-to-coast Diebold like they wanted. It is going to be very difficult to cheat their way out of a landslide.

10. Great. So instead of cheating by a ton, they can cheat by just enough
Sorry to be a buzzkill. This isn't one of my better days.

14. That's the freepers' dream scenario anyway
Nothing they'd like better than sniping a few unarmed liberals.

Who the hell among us is ready for a civil war? We aren't the people in the state militia groups, we aren't the gun afficcianados and 2nd ammendment freaks, many of us live in major cities which could easily be turned into de facto concentration camps by the military and rightwing loyalists. They've got us right where they want us. Ready for a replay of Warsaw 1941?

Better start training ASAP. Head on down to the local gun show and get yourself an AK-47 while it's legal, and get together with some good friends -- preferably veterans who know their shit firsthand -- to practice squad tactics, because the brownshirts are light years ahead of us on this one. They've been planning for a holy war ever since Brown vs. Board of Education in 1954.

All those years we were carrying signs and holding sit-ins and thinking we were making progress, they were practicing their marksmanship and killing off our strongest leaders. While we tried to influence our government, they were busy infiltrating it. While we were hypnotized by mass media spectacles, they were purchasing the mass media.

If a civil war comes, we're gonna get our asses kicked.
