Platoon defies orders in Iraq

A 17-member Army Reserve platoon with troops from Jackson and around the Southeast deployed to Iraq is under arrest for refusing a "suicide mission" to deliver fuel, the troops' relatives said Thursday.

9. Is was in Iraq last year hauling fuel & water

very much like what's been described here. There were several times early on that we (meaning myself and my Lt) had to force an over zealous Capt in Battalion to back off when we weren't truly able to take on a particular mission. Usually involving deadlined trucks or lack of security or driver rest. You have every right to refuse a mission due to various problems but you better be right and get someone to back you up.
These guy's need help and Congressional help is the best place to start. Sounds like their chain of command isn't working.
