When are the polls gonna break our way?
I know the polls are not really reliable, especially this year with so many new voters, but I would think after Kerry's excellent debate showing, they would begin to break our way at least a little. I'm trying not to watch them that much, but I can hardly resist visiting them from my favorites list. It's so aggravating. MUST.....RESIST....VISITING......POLLING....RESULTS.....SITES!!!!!!!

8. I certainly hope so.
I'm beginning to worry that the big surprise we've worried about is simply going to be the theft of yet another election. I wont stand for it. I'll take a leave from work to make phone calls and write angry letters 24-7.

10. I am so tired of hearing about this "October Surprise"
that has so many people in Chicken Little mode. The real surprise is going to be when the biggest turnout in a century votes overwhelmingly to remove this evil cabal and restore sanity to our country. I urge everyone to STEP AWAY FROM THE TV... PUT DOWN THE PAPER... get out there and knock on doors, make phone calls, hold a sign... make it happen.

And if the Rethugs do try to steal another election, we need to do more than make a few phone calls.

11. You are right.
And I agree. I'm doing everything humanly possible. Phone calls, emails and door knocking. I've got everyone I know involved, even those who typically don't care about politics. And if they do steal another one, I'll be doing a whole heck of a lot more than just making a few calls. I told my boss I'd be taking off for awhile to do whatever it takes. I hope it wont go that far, but there are so many stories circulating about democrats having their registrations screwed up and thrown away.

5. Polls are meaningless
Sure I like to see Kerry ahead of shrub on the nightly news but the real poll is Nov 2.

Remember Howard Dean was crowned king of the democratic party in polls before Iowa and NH.

6. At best, these media-manipulated pulls will show a dead heat.
People just need to ignore the polls and vote. Bush may have his October surprise coming up, but the voters will pull a November surprise.
