OMG ... Lynne Cheney is Barbara Bush redux!
"This is not a good man..." -- Lynne Cheney.

"Rhymes with rich." -- Barbara Bush.

What a pair of harridans! Absolutely NO CLASS!

1. IMHO
Lynne Cheney is an ideologically insane Jurassic monster.

Barbara Bush is a fat, fatuous, dynastically-obsessed WASP harpy bitch .

Tight competition.

But Barb is at least some small bit human. Her life in some ways makes sense. She tries to conceal imperfections and problems, but in hiding them at least as such acknowledges them.

But Lynn Cheney is pure psycho. Soiopath wedded to sociopath. Whereas Barb and George Sr may have had their very real and human problems in their marriage, the Cheneys are made for each other, like Frankenstein and bride of Frankenstein. They truly, deeply, deserve one another....

Richard Clarke actually took the trouble in his book "Against All Enemies", in his recollections of Sept 11, to devote a paragraph to how absolutely insufferable and sickening Lynn Cheney was, as the Cabinet and its crucial advisors had to sit together and ponder the day's events. I paraphrase, but he pretty much says -- she's as nuts as her husband. He also says, in another part of the book, that Cheney is a misleading guy -- his tone and his use of language is quite moderate and people might superfically give him as pass as being sane, but if you really listen to what he is saying, you realize he is totally psycho.

2. Lynne can write about lesbian on lesbian trysts..
..but acts SO SHOCKED that someone called her daugher a (GASP!) lesbian! Even though, of course, daughter worked for the Coors company as the official gay liaison, or some other strange title... and is openly gay. They just can't handle the term LESBIAN over there in the rightwing universe. Using the term GAY is much easier for them to dismiss a group of people with a simple word.

3. To me that is what's so weird about all this...

her novel sounds (haven't read it) like it was written by a liberated woman.

But judging from the Plaid Adder thread, some mothers are gonna have a very hard time dealing with their daughters' lesbianism. Perhaps Lynne thinks she passed the "gay gene" to Mary and feels guilty.

4. You marry Satan himself and you've either got
to be a first class bitch or you'll become one.

The whole thing is ridiculous. They're putting up a smokescreen because they don't have anything substantial to talk about, certainly not a successful debate. And they're ashamed of their daughter and her "lifestyle." Put the two together and you get Lynnzilla.
