in your state. Are Nevadans WANTING radioactive waste to be buried in Yucca Mountain? That is certain to happen if Bush wins.

Why on earth would any Nevadan support Bush? Is Yucca Mountain even being raised as a campaign issue?

neither one talked about Yucca (although they have in previous visits). Kerry does not support Yucca, which is good. President Knucklehead has already gone back on his word to NV. Yet he still leads here, although I think that is slipping (no hard data, just a feeling from talking with locals).

As much as everyone thinks LV is a progressive town, it's still full of "good ole boys." Plus, there's a pretty big Mormon presence...and they aren't known as progressive (apologizes to those Mormons on this board, but as a whole they skew conservative).

Kerry talked to AARP today...very powerful speech (Laura * spoke earlier to same group). Kerry told them that Prz * was in town but decided against talking to them. They were not happy to hear that. He explained how they got screwed by medicare, how their costs for meds will go up even if they got this prescription med card, and how privatizing social security will hurt them as less money is put into the system.
