4. Tweety just asked Edwards if he wanted to ask * when he made
his choice to be straight or gay! I can't believe he asked that!

5. I really like
Edwards in this format - off the cuff - rather than prepared statements.

Tweety asking about bush's statement about bin laden - did he know he was wrong?
Edwards, of COURSE

27. "Moved The Line"...Perfect Framing...
This is the way to piece how the voted for it, against it crap is beat. Set up the story as being led along, step-by-step, bigger lie by bigger lie.

Yes, this format is great for him...and tigtening the noose even further.

Kudos to K/E for trapping these rats with their own hypocricies! At least we know this is happening even if the media is in denial...or is that another river?

6. Talking about Cheney lying in their debate.
First about never meeting him, and then about denying he said Iraq & 911 had a connection!

Edwards said Cheney's worst fault is lying to the American People!

7. Now that he got past the LESBIAN subject,
he's treating JE quite respectfully. They are talking about Cheney's remark that he'd never met JE, etc. Edwards just said that Cheney and Bush keep trying to 'move the line' on their positions making them more palatable to the American people. (edging off the Saddam/bin Laden connection, for example)

9. Taling about Halliburton and what exactly Cheney did wrong.
Edwards says at a minimum there was the appearance of inpropriety. Edwards says that if Halliburton was indeed the only company who could 'handle' this contract, why not put it out for bid so that would be obvious to all........

25. Tweety tried to stump him: "I'm just trying to figure out a rule
to apply to future vice presidents, including you." Hmmm, so he thinks JE will be VP?

I think he thought JE would stumble but he didn't even pause: "At a MINIMUM, if someone leaves as CEO to become VP, and his former co. wants to do government work, a contract must go out for competitive bids." (paraphrasing)

12. Edwards is holding up very well, and shockingly, fat Tweety is
asking substantive questions and allowing Edwards to respond (rather than his usual screaming and spitting).

29. good q: how did you and Cheney take such different paths?
JE: "This admin. made choices to be on the side of the big insurance companies, the big pharmaceuticals, big oil...and that hurts the American people. That's the difference. We are on the side of the American people."

Edited on Thu Oct-14-04 06:21 PM by maine_raptor
was when Edwards stopped Tweety from shouting out a second question while he (Edwards) was answering the first. Tweety SHUT UP and let him finish.

Me thinks Tweety has found a new love interest.

15. (T)are the cheney's faking a foul with their complaining about
the remarks regarding their daughter, like you do in basketball when you fake a foul and fall down pretending to be hurt? (E)Who knows, but what Kerry did was put a personal face on an issue that is dividing this country and it was no foul!

22. Great interview
I liked Tweety calling the Cheney thing a pony foul (is that the right term?). He obviously gets this political stuff, I don't know why he whores for Bush so much. All in all, it was an excellent interview.

34. Phony Foul

:)

Actually, that basketball analogy is perfect. If Tweety came up with that instead of Edwards, as your commentary made it sound (I'm still at work, darn it), then this story has no legs with the media.

But I've heard him be perfectly sensible in a Dem interview then turn around and dive into the right wing cess pool. We'll see.
