Deficits Not that Important! Subtle sarcasm in LTTE in my local paper.
I couldn't have written this better myself. I only wonder how many people think he is serious. MrG did for a second. The Ed of this paper tends to be a smalltime GOP whore in his comments in the call in section.

The gauge of an economy's strength is based on the income of the wealthiest 1 percent of the population. Thanks to Bush's tax cuts, this value is increasing.

Stem-cell research is evil. If we remain patient, God will cure Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and spinal cord injuries.

Only Bush can keep America safe. He has worked hard to make national security a big issue after he did nothing to prevent the worst terrorist attack in U.S. history.

Strong leaders do not need international help or approval to attack smaller, weaker nations. This is what strong leaders do: conquer small, weak nations in order to spread peace and freedom.

It made my day! :hi:

2. That's sarcasm - I'll agree with that.
But subtle it is NOT. Great letter!

4. MrG was taken for an instant, because the first line about being
UnAmerican if you don't support Bush is something we read quite often. I doubt the Eds read any farther, and I'm still trying to figure out how it got printed. But, basically, I'm glad it got printed. I'm glad to share this state with people like Andrew Pirkola. :hi:

7. I love the gun one

I don't know what happened at the Chippewa Valley School, but I'm so god damned relieved it was a "look-alike" model and not an actual AK-47. There go those liberal partisan politicians again, trying to trick you into thinking we've got new gun technologies that are as dangerous as old-fashioned automatic weapons.

9. That letter got me too. Defending Candace Miller, who is already
in hot water for scheming with Delay...of course it looks like she'll get away with it-and, sadly, it looks like she will also be re elected. :(

*Chippewa Valley (my alma mater) was the target of a Columbine-style terror plot by a student there. He and his father and one other man are currently under arrest. You should have seen the arsenal in their garage.
