Would it have made more sense to mention Jim Kolbe instead?
Kolbe, for those who don't know, is a Republican Congressman from Arizona, and the only openly gay Republican in Congress.

Personally, I don't see the basis for Lynn Cheney's outrage -- unless, that is, she considers her daughter's "choice" to be tawdry. Perhaps she's outraged at Kerry's willingness to point out the rank hypocrisy of the Republican Party on this issue.

brought up Kolbe, who was on TV here in S.AZ shilling for Bush. Him and McCain, how can one state be so fortunate.
