George W. Bush Revising His History On Gays. Supported Sodomy Law
As a Texan who watched the debates Wednesday night, I think it's right to remind my fellow Democrats and fellow voters that George Walker Bush's apparent new "tolerance" for gays, lesbians, and their living arrangements is only recent--if it really exists at all. While Governor of Texas, George Walker Bush supported the Texas anti-"sodomy" law prohibiting gays and lesbians from having sex with each other because, he said, such a law supposedly "supported traditional marriage."

But don't just take my word for it. Here's a link:

6. I Remembered Gee Dubya's History This Morning
Thank you, arwalden.

I only remembered Governor George's position on gays, lesbians, and the sodomy laws this morning; I wish I remembered it earlier.

One of the three reasons I don't run for office myself is because I'm absent-minded and don't remember verbal ripostes until hours later, I don't remember faces, and I inhaled and admit it.

3. Dems still have a lot to learn about the spin game...
Instead of demanding that the media focus on the jawdropping Bush lie about Osama, progressive blogs and boards are actually discussing the Mary Cheney right wing talking point. Yes, of course the only reason you're going to think Kerry made a gaffe is if you think gays are black sheep that belong in the family closet. But the post-debate spin cycle is all about controlling the subjects of debate, NOT winning the debate on those subjects. And the subject of debate should undoubtedly be the president's bald-faced denial that he ever said he was unconcerned about bin Laden.

That video is a double-edged sword, because it proves that not only did Bush take his eye off bin Laden, but he lied point blank to the American people during a national debate. Calling for bin Laden to be found dead or alive, and then saying you're unconcerned about him is the Ultimate Flip-Flop, and that the line we should be spreading. That's what we should be talking about. Don't fall for their distractions. Put them on defense, where they belong!!

4. Yeah, its bullshit all right
When I was living in Texas (with the chimp as Governor), there was a semi-controversy about the log cabin republicans being banned from the Texas republican convention. Bush did NOTHING to showcase his supposed "tolerance." They stayed uninvited.
(Not that I have any sympathy for log cabin republicans

5. True dat!!! Yeah I kind of wish I would have mentioned this here before
the debate!!! Yeah, the whole reason the Supreme Court ruled in favor of "gay rights" is because that dumby let that case from Houston go to the Supreme Court.

He could have just pardoned them and said "hey what people do in their own home is their own business."
