1. Bob Sheiffer was a very, very poor moderator.
If he chose the questions then it is even more damning. I'm sure the Dems had to cave in to Chimp's demand for a fairly friendly moderator.

3. I Think Bob Wanted Kerry To Mention Teresa & The Earth Summit
That's about as close as you're going to get. Funny, considering that Kerry made energy independence a cornerstone of his campaign...

4. I Don't Recall Any Either
I don't recall any questions about energy and the environment either.

I personally favor the development of reliable, cheap, renewable alternate energy sources that could help not just the USA but also most of the rest of the world to break the petroleum habit. Not only would such energy sources lift millions out of squalor and poverty in those Third World countries short on oil supplies of their own, but it would make a sizable hole in the terrorist al Qaeda network's finances as fewer wealthy Arabian Gulf benefactors find themselves with fewer greenbacks to saddle up and ride their Islamic hobby (Wahabbi?) horses.

6. Democrats.com's comment to your question
Bob Schieffer's Questions: Pablum Designed to Let Bush Slide
Not one question about energy. Not one question about the environment. Those, of course are two areas where Bush's policies are abymsal. But oh, yes - there was a question designed to give Bush a chance to wax pious (Schieffer asked him to clarify what he meant by "I talk to my other father" ). This debate was by far the flattest - but it was neither Bush nor Kerry's fault. The fault lies at the door of Bob Schieffer - a seasoned journalist who knew exactly what he was doing when, to try to make his golfing buddy Bush look better, dished up pablum - at a time when America desperately needs meat. The spirits of honest journalists from the past century looking down on Schieffer tonight must have felt nothing but contempt.
