Voters need to realize that Bush has no reason to keep campaign promises.
If he wins the election, there isn't a single reason or any motivation for Bush to keep campaign promises he makes. He can promise anything and everything and then do whatever he wants. Just like 2000, but worse.

First, there's his track record. He has broken just about every campaign promise he made in the 2000 election. And, those promises he "kept", he screwed up, like NCLB, prescription drug coverage, etc.

Second, and more important, there are no ramifications for NOT keeping his promises. He can't run again in 2008, and Cheney certainly isn't going to run, so no one in the 2008 Republican presidential pool will have any direct responsibility for breaking those promises.

Oh, all those promises made by that Bush guy? He's gone, and so is his VP. You can't possibly hold me responsible for what he did!

4. Exactly. And, "war as a last resort".
Fiscal responsibility.

Funding education.

Reforming welfare, SS, Medicare, etc.

The most annoying thing is that a lot of people claim that they are voting for him in '04 because he's "trustworthy", "honest", blah, blah, even after he's done almost the exact opposite of everything he promised. Ugh.

2. Yup! This is the scariest part of this administration
in my opinion. That's what I've been telling people I know...look, you might think Bush is okay, but do you have a problem with his "administration": the people he put in charge? Every one of them have said yes. Even if Bush doesn't scare them, those around him do. I remind people that's what they're putting in for a 2nd term. He hasn't fired anyone or made anyone accountable. And the only one who will probably not go for a second term with him is Powell. (Gets their attention!)

Then I sum it up with, "If you had problems with the current four years of the Bush Administration, just wait! Because they'll have nothing to lose if they get another term."

5. He kept the tax cut promise.
That was the only one that mattered to the 47% who support his stupid ass.
