Why didn't Bush study for the debate ???
Does he know something we do not know? Does he already have the questions from Bob Shieffer?? I know it has been reported that Shieffer's brother is somehow connected to the Bush Administration.. But something seems a little odd about that...Or maybe he just refuses to study?? Any ideas??

6. To study means one questions one's own judgement.
Bush doesn't "do" introspection, speculation, and intellectual curiosity.

His brain was fried on drugs years ago and he wasn't smart to begin with.

11. If he doesn't appear completely incoherent, and acts mad.....
He'll at least tie, this is the way the media has been set up.

He'll come out all loosy goosy and even seem cocky.
Afterwards, the media could very well score it a Bush win because of his sheer arrogance.

Remember...they gave Kerry the win in the first debate not on substance, but on Bush's inablity to say anything coherent. Perhaps the transceiver in his back was having interference.

Now that they've dropped the idea of trying to feed him substance, Rove et al realizes that all people are looking for is determination. Facts can be thrown to the wind.

It is the very proof that bad business has fully entrenched into the media and that the freepers have finally succeeded in dumbing down America to the point that they stand a reasonable chance of electing an incoherent, alcohol brain soaked arrogant spoiled rich kid that doesn't even deserve to run a 5 and dime store.

12. He's campaigned up to every debate
while Kerry was sequestered, preparing.

But of course, Bush doesn't have to practice as much, b/c he has those adoring crowds at every stop ... he gives his talking points and the loyalty-oath signing audience applaud vigorously, so he assumes he must have it right.

15. What story did I miss? He didn't study?
I guess that would be too elitist. Remember he's a prep school baby and the elite don't study or work hard, they just get ahead on connections. :eyes:

18. I can't believe you guys fall for this ;)
First, I don't even know if it's true if he studied or not. Second -- who would tell the press this -- and why? Let's see -- most normal people think he's a dumbass. If he just does so/so in the debate, he can just pretend like he "winged it," -- it can be a talking point. If it ends up being a draw, they're looking for the edge: "Kerry had to study, Bush didn't, because he's the competent POTUS."

And monkeys might fly out of my butt.

20. My guess: he NEEDS to campaign because he's DOWN in the internal polls
You know, the real polls without media spin.

That's the only reason I could think of why he'd be campaigning.

Oh, also the debate is on domestic issues and Bush has NO domestic plan...that might also be part of it.
