Keep it up, call Pepsi

I just got a call back from Pepsi thanking me for my comments, the man was saying that their ad buys are in local markets, he was polite but non-committal. I politely explained that:

-The local markets are owned and operated by Sinclair nationally; Sinclair was forcing local stations to pre-empt regular progamming to show slander produced by Bush supporters.

- This film has already been discredited by media watch groups.

- I would be just as unhappy if a company that contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Democrats planned to show Faranheit 9-11 on the public airwaves in an effort to try to influence the elections.

- The Anti-Defamation League's national director called on a Sinclair executive to repudiate comments they made comparing democrats to Holocaust deniers, and that I didn't feel that this was someone the Pepsi brand should be associated with in any way.

He thanked me for outlining that for him in a nice way and said that he would pass that information along to the local advertisers.

Keep it up, call Pepsi at (800) 433-2652!!!!!!!!!

1. Called..
..nice lady said they have no time purchased for ads during the show. I stated that there were no commercial ads from anybody at that time so I would expect them to take a stronger stand for all of their advertising, national and local. She stated there was no national purchases but they were looking into local purchases of advertising. I told her I wanted to continue my use of Pepsi products but that I would not if they didn't take a stand. I also let her know I would feel this way regardless of who Sinclair was supporting (Republican or Democrat).
