Will the Sinclair broadcast be any worse than the daily media whoring?
I agree that if Sinclair goes through with the anti-Kerry film showing a massive injustice will be committed. But, what about the daily barrage of anti-Kerry commentary spewed by stacked panels of conservative hacks that the major networks and cable outlets allow?

For Christsakes! The new media was created to bash Clinton before and during his term. It never shifted back to opposition to this White House. They've had a lock on public propaganda that rivals the Reichstag.

Let's keep the pressure on Sinclair and his advertisers, but let's not forget the network of whores who are actively engaged in mindwashing every day, on every network and cable broadcast.

1. It seems like it would not matter except in the swing states but
if it becomes news in itself then other outlets might pick it up, right?

3. I just can't imagine anyone who would be inclined to vote for Kerry
deciding on the issue of what Kerry did in Vietnam. It won't erode our base, which I believe will trounce the mudstuck Bushies if we turn up in the numbers that have been registered.

7. You know, it just might open that door.
But, would that really shift the numbers to any great extent? Will voters really make their decision in this election on the Vietnam war? Won't AWOL come up again in a major way?

6. Oh, the blasted movie will BORE most people to death.

Most of the American people don't have time to have the attention span of a gnat. That film isn't going to play much to anyone except the true believers. Do you think anyone wants to sit through a two-hour Bush campaign commercial?

When I finally saw "The Reagans" on Showtime, I couldn't believe what the fuss was about. It was a sorry soap opera version, and it didn't have ANYTHING new in it, other than Nancy sighing, "Oh, Ronnie, you've won the Cold War!"

F911 wasn't a campaign commercial. This "swift boat" crap IS a campaign commercial. I don't think anyone will watch it for very long, even if they try to ram it down everyone's throats.

I think EVERYBODY in this country needs to go out for a walk, go fishing, or read a damn book for a while. Stop watching so blasted much television. Ride a horse, hug a kid, buy a puppy. We as a country need to chill out.

8. I agree, bigtree, but it's like this
If we get a rollback on Sinclair, it will be our first real victory against the media since, well, ever.

I don't think people will forget the real battle. I think it will juice them up.

9. I hope so
We should keep the pressure on Sinclair. Let's not view this as the whole game though. It's a shell game. Sinclair is getting free advertising from the coverage while the media piggybacks on the opposition. Somehow we have to keep the focus of our efforts on issues that actually affect the lives of ordinary Americans.

10. The media frenzy leading up to it will increase the audience. At this
point in time, it will show bias on Sinclair's part. Will it influence anyone? Maybe a few morons.
