It looks like further resolution of a bunch of open issues won't happen before the elections. It's disconcerting that investigators, congresspersons, and the media are letting these important topics just sit there, when open discussion and resolution is owed the public. For instance, we won't hear much more about:
Sibel Edmonds (FBI mis-management, foreknowledge of 9/11, and evidence of trackable money trail)
Plame (ongoing investigation taking a long time)
Cheney's Energy Task Force (sent back to lower courts by SCOTUS for refinement)
Distortion of intelligence pre-Iraq War (second half of commission responsibility)
Unathorized use of 700 million for Iraq (investigation status?)
Abu Ghraib (Hersch and others know there's a lot more)
Halliburton mis-deeds
Chalabi / Iran secrets (when was the last time we heard his name?)
Rove ties to SBVT.
There are probably more. Edmonds' issues have been laying around for almost three years. Even if these won't be officially resolved by 11/2, shouldn't someone be bringing them up to remind the public of mis-deeds still outstanding?
