How to complain to the WB Network (19 Sinclair affiliates are WB)

I count 19 WB affiliates among SBGI stations (the complete list is at:
http://stopsinclair.radioleft.com/blog/SinclairStations/_archives/2004/10/9/157803.html )

So let's start there:

Send email to faces@thewb.com

Here is a sample letter:. Remember to be polite and formal. It amplifies a complaint enormously.

RCM

To Whom It May Concern

I write to complain about Sinclair Broadcasting Group, Inc. (SBGI), because several SBGI affiliates are also WB Television affiliates.

As you are no doubt aware, SBGI has announced intentions to run a one hour campaign commercial (disguised as a feature "film") for the Bush/Cheney re-election campaign on 62 affiliate stations in prime time. This is a violation of both the spirit and the letter of campaign finance laws, since it is an in-kind corporate contribution worth many millions of dollars. It is also an affront to millions of Americans who do not support the Bush campaign, of whom I am one (a registered independent).

If SBGI goes forward with this plan, I intend to boycott all advertisers who continue to advertise on SBGI. But of direct relevance to the current letter, I (and my family) intend to boycott all Warner Brothers products, including your television network and all music recordings and films, indefinitely. I intend to promote this boycott with friends and family, and publicly on my own websites. Finally, I intend to file formal letters of complaint challenging the public licenses of each SBGI affiliate, including each WB affiliated station, with the Federal Communications Commission.

I urge you to act responsibly. The major media outlets in the US have an obligation to be fair in a contested election season given a very divided electorate. Millions of your customers are supporters of John Kerry. You will alienate them by supporting or even refusing to condemn SBGI's actions, and I will do everything I can to make sure as many people as possible consider holding your company responsible for SBGI's conduct on your affiliate stations. You should use whatever leverage you have, which I am sure is considerable, to prevent your affiliate stations from acceding to SBGI's blatantly partisan programming decision.

Thank you for your attention to this complaint,
