without explaining what it is? Granted all of us up here who follow politics knows who they are. But the average working man or woman that votes doesn't really have a clue. I was canvassing in NC. And out of 20 people we talked to. Only two of them knew what the hell this company was. They said they heard Edwards say it several times in the debate, But really couldn't get a good read on what he was trying to say about them.
Not illiterate. That's a whole other problem. We have millions and millions of people who can read but DON'T. They don't subscribe to a newspaper, they don't read news on the internet, they don't regularly read Time or Newsweek or any other news magazine and they rarely if ever just read a book for pleasure.
