The final nail in the bush campaign coffin
I believe will be Wednesdays debate.

Now that we see the people believe Kerry won debate number 2 by a 45-30 margin, you can almost see the light at the end of the tunnel. And for bush, to use a cliche, it is an oncoming train.

bush CANNOT do better than debate number 2 and he was awful.

After debate number 3, even the medias skewed polls will not be able to hide Kerry pulling away with the voters.

That does not mean we should stop working, but ladies and gentleman spread butter on bushco because they are toast.

1. Bush will hit a home run Wednesday, don't you think for one minute
we can put our swords down for our democracy and let this thief take our country away from us. Kerry will do his best but Bush is going to come out swinging, lying, attacking and macho more than ever. Bush fully understands the stakes, if he loses or looks bad, he is finished, end of story, but if he wins and takes a slight edge by attacking Kerry on any little trite detail and pounds it into the none thinking American, he will be back in the game. Bush isn't going to quit, he is going to be focused, determined and fighting for his life Wednesday. Kerry is obviously doing okay,he's up in all the polls, but he must still show America he is the man for the job, he has a chance to put the smack down on AWOL for good.

Like father like son, one term, you're done! Send the idiot back to Texas.

2. Need to be very careful with the Chimp
and don't misunderestimate him. He's a wounded rattler looking for an chance to strike. He is defeatable , but he , having no principles, will stop at NOTHING in our state of fear to gaurentee he will win. Expect lies, inuendos, distortions and shameless attacks - and then more of the same.

He can be beaten, but keep in mind that he is very good at motivating his base.

3. I love the smell of burnt toast in November!
You are correct, Bush* did as well as he could possibly do in the second debate and he was still outmatched.

Let's hope Next President Kerry grows some coattails now. A Democratic congress would be awesome.

That fabled lady hasn't sung yet.

This is NO time to get complacent.

I'm still nervous as hell. Thank God for acrylic nails.

5. Same here
Never underestimate your "opponent". Especially when he is cornered.
May be we should do some quick homework: what are the possible issues/questions for this final domestic debate? What are the best answers for Kerry. Make it simple and straightforward. Make this last one a slam dunk for Kerry, then bush will have no time left to recover. The rest will be history. Kerry will start the new Democratic era for nest two decade. I have a three and half old, I sure hope this is what's going to happen.

12. Potential topics:
- gay marriage --> Kerry's answer should be that he is where most Americans are on gay rights: he sees marriage as twixt man and woman, he thinks gay couples should get civil unions, he thinks no one should be fired for being gay, he thinks that hate crimes legislation is a good thing. I think Kerry would be best to take it upon himself to expand any gay marriage question into a general question on gay rights. He could even use the line, "I'm where most of America and Dick Cheney are on these issues."
With this sort of response, I don't see how Bush could score any points on him with this issue. He could also try to draw Bush out on the broader issue of gay rights, as a trap where Bush could upset some of his fundie base. Imagine Religious Reich rage if Kerry would be able to get Bush to agree with him on signing the Employment Non-Discrimination Act? That could be worth 1 or 2% sitting at home on Election Day.

- stem cell research --> I thought that Kerry was not properly prepared for the Friday debate question, given how a new British study came out showing how congenital heart defects in mice fetuses were repaired with injection of embryonic stem cells into the mother carrying them. He could have turned this into hope for millions of Americans threatened by heart disease. I hope he's more prepared for this topic on Wednesday.

- deficit reduction --> Kerry and Bush will both be asked, "So.. how are you going to pay for all of this?" Kerry should use this opportunity to briefly bash the hell outta Bush (suggested quote: "And you call yourself a fiscal conservative?! Ha!"). He should then offer limited detail on his plan, complete with large, round dollar amounts.
Example: "By reversing the tax cut on the top 2%, we can use this money to reduce the national deficit by X trillion dollars."
Example: "Your family's shart of the national debt right now is Y thousand dollars."
Example: "The interest on this national debt means that your children will end-up paying Z% more in taxes when they find jobs."

- environment --> this is where Kerry should attack, attack, attack. He should play a clear, concise game of "follow the dollars." It should follow this pattern: "Contributor X gave the GOP M thousand dollars. The GOP then made Decision A, which cost taxpayers T dollars and put P tons of this chemical into your water supply." Kerry could easily stir-up some public outrage against Bush on this topic. I really, really, really hope that it comes-up.

8. The latest Gallup poll shows that Kerry won 45-30.
:)

And yes, you're right. If Kerry wins this debate, Bush is finished.

9. We will play a very large part in Kerry's victory.
No matter how well Kerry does on his own on Wednesday night, we will need to fight like hell in the post-debate spin war.

This debate spin war will be a bit different this time, given how the timing means that the GOP will have more time to distort things before the weekend comes upon-us. The first debate was on a Thursday, and the second one was on a Friday; the GOP had very little time with which to implant an illusion into the minds of America's voters. This time, they'll have all day Thursday and all day Friday to implant some sort of "Kerry lied" or "Kerry flip-flopped" or "Kerry stumbled" meme into peoples' minds.

And that's where we'll come in. Voting online, writing emails to news shows, writing snail mail to newspapers, calling radio shows with your comments, speaking-up when the topic is brought-up in conversation.. we've had some success with all of the debates this year, and we can continue it.

This can really be the nail in the Chimp's coffin. I find it particularly delicious that his own idiocy could be what seals the deal for him. Something that we've seen all along for the past five years could finally be realized by a majority of voters on this Wednesday. I have great faith that Kerry can expose this "man."
