The article noting the six new Kerry endorsements...
said Bush had a total of five so far (mostly small town papers).

8. Link to this article?
I'm curious to know, too....

Has the NYT or WaPo made an endorsement yet? Chicago papers? LA Times? Etc.

20. It was posted on DU somewhere . . .
I don't remember where. But I remember the same article saying that, in terms of circulation of endorsing newspapers, Kerry has a 5-1 advantage.

1. Maybe the college newspaper at Bob Jones U. will endorse him.
I haven't heard of any, either.

4. Yes
Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 10:37 PM by Moonbeam_Starlight
The Dallas Morning News, otherwise known as the Dallas Repuke News, has endorsed him.

No let me take that back, they have FELLATED him constantly.

On edit, I am watching and waiting for the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram. This will make or break them with me. On the plus side, they just got rid of Mark Davis, a VERY conservative, bush-fellating "columnist" who went over to the Dallas Repuke News (which is very fitting) and I was happy about that! But we'll see with the Star-Telegram.

Have to check the Houston Chronicle. Check the big Southern city dailies......I KNOW the Austin American-Statesman won't endorse him, though. They don't want their offices burned down!!!

5. Yes, The Columbian in Vancouver WA
But it's not a mjor newspaper. The city is across the river from Portland OR and seems to be a refuge for all the right wing nut cases that can't stand Oregon's liberalism. They are a unique group of tax evaders. Washington doesn't have an income tax while Oregon has no sales tax. So they tend to work on the Washington side and shop in Oregon.

13. Yes, I was disappointed to see this today. At least the Oregonian
endorsed Kerry. They have a much larger circulation in this area.

9. Yes - The Pueblo Chieftain
Which is owned by a Republican asshole. They'd endorse Satan if he had an (R) after his name.

10. Bush's endorsements
Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 10:43 PM by siliconefreak
As of October 8:

Las Vegas Review-Journal: 170,061 (circulation)
Mobile (Ala.) Register: 100,244
The Pueblo (Colo.) Chieftain: 52,208
Amarillo (Texas) Globe-News: 51,105
The Sun (Lowell, Mass.): 50,369
The Courier (Findlay, Ohio): 22,319

I think the Pueblo Chieftain will help to put him over the top. :+

Edited on Sun Oct-10-04 10:49 PM by Moonbeam_Starlight
looks like besides Las Vegas, his only biggie. And even at that, no BIG biggies. Out of curiosity, which have Kerry received? Please tell me the Boston Globe.

On edit, Dallas Morning News claims its circulation at over 500,000.

But it's a "red" state, so not much harm there, actually.

The DMN is such a dismal rag....
ever since they ran the Times Herald out, they've been content to suck up to the power structure.

Oh, wait....I don't ever have to live in North Texas again! Whoopeeeee!!

25. You're telling me
it SUCKS!!! No, the Dallas Repuke News suckity-suck-sucks. Mr. Moonbeam knows better than to EVER buy it.

We only read the Star-Telegram now, but I am watching them like a hawk. They DO seem to be more balanced.

God I hate the DMN. They got Mark Davis as a columnist! Ha! The freepers in Dallas will get to jerk off to him now and I won't have to see his ugly mug in the Star Telegram anymore!

26. Wow, good news about Davis going east!
I knew some of the Startlegram staff when I lived in FW, and they were mostly even-minded people. But of course, Panther City is a much better town than Dallas, as even a casual observer can tell.

;-)

27. Hey you moved to Oregon???
That is our DREAM, but we simply cannot afford to move.

Sad. We LOVE Portland. Big heavy blustery sigh.

Where is Panther City?

Davis is, I'm sorry, a douchebag. Read one column of his, you've read them all. And I don't see how he can type with bush's d*ck in his mouth.

29. Yes, we moved here to the coast, and we love it. Portland's a cool place,
we go there every now and then for a city fix, but we miss the sound of the ocean at night. You ought to consider a move, though. You CAN do it, you know.
btw, Panther City is Fort Worth. (an old nickname for it)

I had TOTALLY forgotten about that! DOH! Slap myself on the forehead!

I love Ft. Worth, but I'd love to move to Oregon, it's been a dream of ours for about five or six years now. We even bought books on Oregon, researched on the internet, etc.

Other than that, I point and laugh.

And the local Crawford Texas paper? Endorsed Kerry.

Points and laughs again.
