A vote for Bush is a vote against America's interests.
Why anybody would put devotion nonsense "wedge" issues ahead of America's continuation as a major world power is beyond me. And that's what a vote for Bush is. Meanwhile, they totally ignore the damage that could be done to the nation if we continue to be reviled around the world. The fact is that we depend on world trade and cooperation more than any other nation. Repairing relations around the globe isn't about "popularity," it's about the long-term health of the economy.
Bush is willing to throw it all away to "show the French who is boss." That's childish and will cost us trillions of dollars in GDP over the next generation.
but I know of several former Republicans who can see through the rhetoric and are putting their country ahead of their pocketbooks and political or religious ideology.
