Olbermann gives Kerry resounding win after checking timber fact.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6198935

Mr. Bush is also penalized three points for a truth foul.
Mr. Bush is further penalized two points for getting snarky while in the act of being factually incorrect.

The thirteenth round, originally scored 2-0 for Mr. Bush, now reverts to a 1-1 draw, and the rounds awarded total now changes from 12 Kerry, 4 Bush, 3 Drawn, to 12 Kerry, 3 Bush, 4 Drawn.

The final points scoring is now adjusted from Kerry 15, Bush 12, to Kerry 16, Bush 6. The Scorer thus designates the outcome as a Kerry victory outside the margin for statistical error.

The scorer's table reproaches President Bush for not knowing when he has wood.

was his deduction from Bush "for not knowing when he has wood."

Love that Keith. Love him, love him!

9. The Boy Didn't Just Step Into It...He Starting Eating It...
I didn't hear that "want some wood" crack until I saw the replay...and just shook my head. I assume the majority of those tuning in took it to mean the same thing I did...(at least the Freepers started getting hard-ons about it...<rimshot>) and, if this had been done by anyone else, I probably would have laughed...instead I couldn't believe the "most powerful man in the world" was using a crude, fratboy crack to try to bail his ass out.

When Kerry set the trap, people started going "huh"...I could even sense a rare moment of panic here on DU...but Kerry had this planned all the way, and we still haven't seen this part of the debate play out. In the days ahead, we're gonna start learning a lot more about Bunnypants business "interests" and those of Crashcart as well. Don't be surprised if there's plenty of "wood" to chop here...and it opens a great door for Debate 3.

We'll learn the tax games the rich can play to hide their money and avoid paying taxes. We'll learn about how Bunnypants has been given stock and other considerations over the years...and who gave it to him. It's showing what a poor businessman this doofus is...how he fudges on his taxes and how he can do things you can't cause he's rich and you're not.

The GOOP has tried to tar Kerry as a "rich boy"...here's his chance to show what a "rich boy" really looks like. I loved this move and stay tuned, we're just starting to learn about Bunnypants, Inc.

10. I knew right away that Bush was wrong because I get Moveon.org's
"Daily Mislead" as an email. With all the information on DU, Moveon, Bush Watch, and Democrats.com, I have never been so informed in my life! Sounds like the Kerry campaign is staying on top of things, too!

13. Daily Kos Got It Out Almost Immediately
Atrios went apeshit on the Dred Scott thing...one that should make all them rednecks real happy.

I first started following elections on the net in '94...it was a kick to be able to get realtime results that night. Today, I wouldn't watch a debate or any major news event without this puter nearby...the instant information is incredible...and thanks to folks like Kos, Atrios, TPM, Buzzflash and other blogs (no preference here, I appreciate and support many of them) one has never has such a wealth of quality information and commentary to choose from.

14. I need to add Kos to my list of blogs. I go there from links here all
the time but should start making the daily rounds. I'm only spending HOURS a day online with politics as it is! ;) Thanks for the recommendation for the Daily Kos.
