1. They are such an embarrassment
I guess they can't do any better than a third rate actor. At least they could try to get Tony Danza he's a little easier on the eyes.

4. out of reverence to Ron Reagan, I tried to listen, but also ended up
leaving. Is Ron Silver trying to make the shift from acting to right wing punditry? It's safe to say that ANYTHING he is ever or was ever in as an actor(movies, television, cartoon voice-overs) will never assault my eyes and ears again.

Ron Silver
"A lifelong Democrat of the Truman mold (his description), he broke with the Democratic Party over the War on Terrorism and spoke at the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City. Has re-registered as an Independent."

I remember seeing him most recently in West Wing.

Andy Garcia is here:

10. He's a Neoconservative/Likudnik/Zionist
This time around the Repubs are getting some of the socially liberal Jewish vote.. people who are very pro-Israel like Ron Silver, Ed Koch and other Jewish-Americans whose right wing/Likudnik views on the Israel-Palestinian conflict aligns them with the Neocons.

When you think of it, the neocons started out just like the Ron Silvers of the world: socially liberal Jews who believe in an imperialistic foreign policy (Wolfowitz, Pearle, etc).

13. Outfoxed/Fox Effect. You always have more repukes
than liberals on any panel. And Ron is the only tolken celeb repuke they can get consistently because Ron probably wants to audition for a show like Miller's chimp fiasco.

What was Ron Silver's last noteworthy performance again? Seriously, I don't know...then again I can't think of one he had. Guess I'll go check IMDB...

14. that idiot got out-debated by Triumph the Insult Dog last time out
he's nothing but a Zionist apologist whose whole perspective is seen thru the prism of Israel first, America second.

and it was fun to watch a frigging plastic hand puppet make him look stupid.

in fact i emailed scarborough laast night demanding Triumph get equal time with silver.
