So if the Saddaam threat doesn't begin until sanctions are lifted?
First, was there even a timeline on the lifting of sanctions?

Second, did the U.S. have the power to veto the lifting of sanctions?

Does the 'gathering threat' really translate into a war based on the crime of having an alleged unfulfilled yet yearning desire to make weapons in some unspecified time in the future...subject to the uncertainty of the sanctions being lifted.

Or put more economically, a war justified by a 'thought crime'

4. like whupping that guy & his ma-pa-sis-bro-neighbor-baker-teacher, etc
because you thought that he had a pend-up desire to one day sometime in the future when he parents weren't around and then sometime after that if he had acquired a job that paid well enough to finance the purchase of highly enriched uranium that that long held desire drove him to think that he could get away with nuking your bicycle.

Therefore, you reined hell on his community with an ass-whooping for all whom the bicycle bomber had or might have come in contact with and to shock and awe anyone else who cared to notice.

But that's just a silly hypothetical analogy where noone really dies on either side.

2. And just when was the world going to "look away"?
The world (the UN) wanted to keep a lid on Iraq w/Blix and co.

Bush preempted that.

Bush is a war criminal.
