Freepers discussing Salon's story on the earpiece
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1238910/posts

LOL. So far their main argument that Bush couldn't have been wearing an earpiece is that he sounded too clueless for anyone to have been feeding him lines...

He was a Democrat, though. Either way, we win!

3. hahaha!
Isn't that sad for the freeps. That their only defence on the issue is that their guy sucked too bad to have been getting a feed.

4. You know, I never gave this story much
credence, until someone pointed out that the man shouted, completely out of the blue, "let me finish." With whom was he speaking as no one on the podium was talking except for him?

9. He had been silent for a bit
I think that was directed to Lehrer, but didn't come across that way because we didn't have a camera pointed at Lehrer's face. He probably thought Bush was done, since he wasn't saying anything. The twit may still have had an earpiece, but I don't think he was TRYING TO TALK INTO IT.

10. I don't think he was trying to talk into, but if someone were
talking to him and he didn't want to hear it, it may have been a spontaneous reaction - a faux pas, if you will.

I'd love to see the video replay on it - you are right, Lehrer may have acted as if he were going to say something and Bush cut him off. It was still a bit weird.

5. Awesome. He's either so dumb that he needs an earpiece,
or it's impossible that he had an earpiece because he came off so dumb.

Ah, the sweet nectar of fear.

7. This is great!!
They basically admit that there man sucked ass, and then turn around and compliment Kerry by saying his strong performance had to be aided..What dont these idiots get?? Your man is a stumbling, bumbling liar, who when confronted turns to jello. Do they not realize why Bush is not allowed to have any opposing views in his audiences? Oh he will do better tonight, only because chances are he wont answer one question straight, and because who can do worse then Thursday! Here is the big question for you freepers..He froze Thursday, just like he froze on 9-11, how can you consider him a strong leader when the man has a tendency to go yellow? I'm not saying he is a total coward, and after thought he will finally attempt to react..Can we really afford the hesitation and confusion that he exhibits when we are under attack? Can we really wait 10 fucking minutes while he decides that he needs to put down My Pet Goat and do something??

11. And it's a really hot topic there
82 replies and nearly 3500 views in only 90 minutes.

Of course, DU is probably responsible for at some of those views, but I'd guess most were by very worried freepers.

Denial ain't a river in Egypt...it flows directly out of Fresno!

The blame games already underway. Expect CNNservative to have breaking news on Nov. 3 that a large quake has hit Central California...the Freeper incestfest will have begun.

by linking to them/discussing them as if they are in some way the flipside of DU. We all know they are nothing like this place, in any way. They don't have the numbers, the diversity, the design intergrity or the ethical standars of DU. I sometimes wonder to what extent how much of the cache their underwhelming, underpopulated, nazi-run site is juiced by their mentions over here.
We give them way too many hits.
