So Martha Stewart is going to jail today
because she lied to federal investigators about a single stock transaction.

President Clinton was impeached because he lied about cheating on his wife.

Bush lied numerous times, about numerous reasons for going to war in Iraq and he isn't even under investigation.

What's wrong with this picture?

No one died for Martha's lie. No one died for Clinton's lie. A thousand US Troops and thousands of innocent Iraqis have died for Bush's lies and he's still a candidate for president.

They claimed that Clinton's affair was an abuse of power, despite the fact that Monica was an adult and a willing participant. What do you call it, when the president sends troops into harms way and lies about every reason for doing so? Where's the justice?

6. Why pardon Martha?
On what grounds? Did she break the law or not?

8. Yes. Actually she should be given the death sentence
Isn't she a democrat? And she's a piker. Only made about $300,000 whereas REAL republican businessmen like Ken Lay,et al stole $100 million and screwed thousands out of their retirements. Now that is REALLY good for the economy.

9. She's been convicted of a felony
that's what pardons are for.

10. Regardless of what she did or did not do..
it's tiny potatos compared to Enron. They didn't even prosecute her on insider trading, which I bet few people even realize, or understand. They prosecuted her so vigorously because she has an internationally known name, unlike Mr. Lay, friend to *. It reminds me of when Giuliani prosecuted Bess Myerson for shop-lefting.

The most ironic thing abt this is that the same drug which caused this bru-ha-ha is back in federal drug trials, in partnership with another research company.

But hey, we gotta worry about that 'rule of law' thing..
