Interesting documentary running on History Channel

It's called 'The Man Who Predicted 9/11" - it's about the Morgan Stanley security guy, a Vietnam vet
who died in the attacks, who anticipated an attack on the WTC from the air.

It also talks about how he tried to get people out of the south tower before the
second plane hit.

LOTS of interviews of people who were in the WTC.

I hope they run it again, but if not, there is a DVD:

"In 2001, Rick Rescorla was the 62-year-old head of security at the Morgan Stanley Bank. The bank?s offices were situated high up in the South Tower at the World Trade Center. Rescorla was convinced that Osama Bin Laden would use jet planes to try and destroy the World Trade Center.

Long before September 11th, he developed an evacuation plan for the bank. The plan and its preparation were hugely unpopular with the Morgan Stanley staff, many of whom thought Rescorla was mad. Ultimately, however, the plan saved 3,000 lives. It was put into effect after the first jet hit the North Tower--even though WTC managers were instructing everyone to stay in the buildings. When the second jet hit the South Tower, Rescorla averted panic and organized a rapid evacuation. Rescorla went back inside to help the injured and trapped get out. He was still inside when the building collapsed and his body was never found."

Great for security buffs and people who like to read up on the witnesses and survivors of 9/11.

1. Last night the History Channel had it listed
as well as the NY Daily News. However at 12:00 Am the show was not aired. Wonder why? In place of the 911
show the History Channel ran some poker and travel shit.. Got another listing ?

2. interesting...

I watched it twice - once at 7 CST and once at 11:00 CST. Maybe it was interrupted locally?
That's a shame. I'll keep an eye out for it - seems to me to be a pretty important documentary.

The History Channel has a little page on it.

4. Online
Voice of the Prophet

"A truly chilling example of foreshadowing, The Voice of the Prophet is an interview with Rick Rescorla, the head of security for the investment firm Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Filmed on the 44th floor of the World Trade Center in 1998, Rescorla details the future of warfare long before Osama bin Laden became America's Most Wanted."

( Guess it´s not exactly the same thing...)
