Jimmy Walter came home to Tampa on Tuesday with a laundry list of conspiracy theories, a public relations team in tow, tons of cash to spend on advertisements and polls and a panel of experts who agree the government's account of Sept. 11 is a sham.

"I'm trying to stop the real terrorists," the 58-year-old, eccentric son of home building tycoon Jim Walter said during a morning news conference in the lobby of the Don Vicente de Ybor hotel. "It wasn't 19 Arabs who did this."

The Tampa event marked the latest stop on his world tour - he has already appeared in Madrid, London, Paris, Rome and other European cities - to convince the public that the Bush administration helped perpetrate the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

Furthermore, this article is not good journalism. Note the dishonest tactics here:

DU usually asks for the first three paragraphs. Well, those are the first three paragraphs. Does that look like objective reporting, or a political statement? And then, worst of all, 'the Truth' is capitalized. Who the hell edits this paper?

All I'm asking is that people not compromise professional standards, as was done with this article. Nor is it in anyone's interest to unquestioningly applaud a lack of professionalism in the service of their own theories.

3. you seem to confuse feature writing with news reporting

There is a semi-legitimate distinction to that, and it's obvious that this was intended as a rather brief entertainment notice more than anything else.

Papers give blowjobs to visiting poobahs all the time. The common denominator is money. Even the NYT covered Jimmy (the grand distorter of the 9/11 truth message). It rewarded an advertiser and allowed them to use their favorite word ("millionaire.")

it seems to address the obvious points of interest quite well, and there is a lot of info in there..

not being up on whats been out there previously, i wouldnt like to say if there are any 'new' disclosures, but as someone from the uk, who thought 'something isn't right here'.. it served its purpose... i.e. to make me want to find out more... i have, and i'm shocked.

9. You know thats been answered before

lots of posts on whether Fl 77 ever existed and where it went if it did,
and the connection to the 3 official Flight 11 versions, one of which was
said to have bypassed N Y and to be headed to D.C., and the NORAD planes
that were scrambled to intercept it; and FAA report that Fl 77 crashed or landed
in Kentucky; and radar flight track showing Fl 77 going to Kansas; and some plane
landing in Cleveland with lots of unknown passengers that information hasn't been
released as to what happened to them.

claiming that Israeli security issued an urgent warning to CIA of large-scale terror attacks in August, 2001. Funny thing about this particular article, considering Richard Perle's ties to this rag at the time, is that he sets out many of the talking points for future discussions about the WTC attack.

ISRAELI intelligence officials say that they warned their counterparts in the United States last month that large-scale terrorist attacks on highly visible targets on the American mainland were imminent.

The attacks on the World Trade Centre's twin towers and the Pentagon were humiliating blows to the intelligence services, which failed to foresee them, and to the defence forces of the most powerful nation in the world, which failed to deflect them.

The Telegraph has learnt that two senior experts with Mossad, the Israeli military intelligence service, were sent to Washington in August to alert the CIA and FBI to the existence of a cell of as many of 200 terrorists said to be preparing a big operation.

"They had no specific information about what was being planned but linked the plot to Osama bin Laden and told the Americans that there were strong grounds for suspecting Iraqi involvement," said a senior Israeli security official.
