Has any person on this board ever seen actual evidence of Al Qaeda

involvement in 9-11. The Bush* Administration would not allow the government of Afghanistan to see actual evidence and as far as I know no other country has seen actual evidence either. Maybe Britain claims to have seen evidence but why would it not be proper to show Americans actual evidence. I know the US claims to have found a passport in pristeen condition laying on the streets of New York that they say fell out of Atta's pocket at the time of impact but what else do they have?

at the time of the "confession" tape, sitting at the Cairo Hilton, listening to Egyptians discuss the tape - and translating it for him. My husband said the Egyptians were mad because what was said by the person on the tape was NOT what the news cast (CNNi) was claiming it said.

It might have even been the later part of September 2001 (but I don't think so)- he left for Egypt September 17 - but the tape was aired while he was in Egypt...and he was in Egypt for the anthrax letters coming to light - in fact, he knew BEFORE I did back in the states who got anthrax letters - sometimes a week ahead of the US Press.....because the Press there was airing it well before it was aired in America

People are giving different dates but are we talking about the "first" confession tape? Because the "first" one ever aired did so while my husband was in Egypt.

I knew someone had the dates - 1st tape made on November 9th, aired in America in December 13th - second tape made on November 19th...my husband saw the 1st tape in Egypt BEFORE they aired in America.
Officials said the approximately hour-long tape, dated November 9 and made in Kandahar, was not shot in chronological order. The later part of the meeting is seen first, followed by unrelated shots of a downed U.S. helicopter and then the first part of the meeting that bin Laden had with associates.

The Lausanne-based Dalle Molle Institute for Perceptual Artificial Intelligence said it is 95-per-cent certain the tape does not feature the voice of the long-absent terrorist leader.
The review of the tape was commissioned by France-2 television and its findings were presented by the institute's Professor Herve Boulard in a special TV report shown late Thursday.
He said the institute compared the voice on the tape, first aired two weeks ago on Al-Jazeera, an Arabic television network, with some 20 earlier recordings of bin laden.
U.S. experts maintain the tape will likely never be fully authenticated because its poor quality defies complete analysis by even the most sophisticated voice-print technology.
But U.S. experts who have heard it generally support the conclusion by U.S. law-enforcement officials that it probably is bin Laden speaking.
In the tape, the speaker refers to recent terrorist strikes U.S. officials believe are connected to bin Laden's Al Qaeda network. If fully verified, it would provide the first evidence in a year that bin Laden survived U.S. bombing in Afghanistan.

Why was that. The passenger lists were immediately available, but contained none of the hijackers names. The lists are still a matter of record. There are other strange things about the lists as well, and some documentation indicating those scheduled for Flight 11 at Boston Logan never boarded the plane that was tracked to N.Y.
