Shanksville - The blue Container
On few pictures of the crash site there is seen an blue object beside the street some meters prior to the crater. It looks to me like a container of a builduing site.
The first picture must be shot shortly after the crash late in the morning, because you can see some shadows of trees pointing to Northwest. There is also seen only some cars at the crash site.

On picture 2 and 3 it looks like a container for me.
On the last picture the container looks more like a tent.
Which colours containers for building sites in the US have?

If it is a container, what the hell this container does at this place so shortly after the crash?
There was no building site here before 09/11, just an abandoned coal mine.
Or - was there a building site for 09/11?

1. Looks like portable, tent like shelter.
Probably belongs to one of the emergency services units or investigative units.

5. portable tent?
Thank you for your estimation, hack89.
Does anybody know, which colours those portable tents usually have?

On picture 3 you still can see the trees smoldering.
I guess picture 1 and 3 was shot around 11am, maybe earlier.
How long does it take to put up such a portable tent?

A team of men can get one up within an hour.

2. These pictures appear
to have been taken after the site was cleaned up. There also seems to be a lot of equipment, vehicles, trailers and shelters which you would expect at a work site.

4. building site
It is a fact, that this coal mine was an abandoned coal mine. On earlier satellite pictures you can see the active coal mine. On the posted pictures you can see that the coal mine was filled up with earth. The reports confirmed that abandoned coal mine too.
And I can`t see any signs of a building site on the pictures. Why should there be that one? No articles reported of an building site here before 09/11.

6. Please explain
coal mine was filled up with earth

Exactly what does that mean? Was it a strip mine? What it an underground mine? Did someone replace all the removed coal with fill. Did someone just cover the hole in the ground? Did someone just backfilled the striped earth with enough cover to grow something.

Doe you have a link to old satellite images?

To me the area looks like a farmers field. A outbuilding would not in the least be unusual.

8. Abandoned coal strip mine
Here you can see the strip mine in 1994:
http://terraserver-usa.com/image.aspx?T=1&S=10&Z=17&X=3393&Y=22177&W=3

This coal mine must have been overwrought and then filled up with dirt.
As I know, in this area are many of this abandoned coal mines, which are filled up with dirt.
So I can imagine that Flight 93 crashed in a prepared hole of one of these coal mines and was buried.
Is anyone here who can confirm that the Stonycreek area is full with this abandoned coal mines?

9. Do oyu know by nay chance how much dirt is used to fill up old strip mines
?????

The fuselage of flight 93 is officially supposed to have gone 25 feet into the ground. Do they put 25 feet of "soft" dirt onto these sites? That would seem like a lot....

10. To fill up a coal mine
I don`t believe that any fuselage was in the ground at the official crash site.
I think they prepared just a hole in another abandoned, already filled coal mine for the real crash. So they don´t must fill up the hole with so much dirt.

Do you know how a coal mine generally filled up?
