Attas driverslicense
I came across a thread about Attas driverslicense on letsroll. ( http://letsroll911.org/ipw-web/bulletin/bb/viewtopic.php?t=6870 )

It starts up with a poster gasping over the coincidence that the license expired on 911 2001.

But what is more interesting is that it was issued in 1999. Because :

"According to the FBI Atta first arrived in the U.S. (in Newark) on June 3, 2000."
http://www.google.com/search?hl=nn&as_qdr=all&q=+atta+June+3+&btnG=S%C3%B8k

So we have an Atta in the U.S. in September of 1999. I´m wondering : Do we also have an Atta in Hamburg at that time? Paul?

( If he was in the U.S. and had a driverslicense, the FBI is lying, no? Why? )

1. Assuming ofcourse
that this is a genuine license...

( The first poster says he saw it in the NewYorkDaily Newspaper.)

3. Beat me to it.
I was going to bring up the issue of whether or not this was fake.

I went to http://www.archive.org and looked up some information from the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles website circa April 27,1999. Here's what I found:

How Long Is Your License Valid?

Driver licenses are valid for four or six years. Original (first time) and renewal applicants, who have a conviction-free record for the past three years, can obtain a six-year license. Applicants for the six-year license must pass the required examinations at a driver license office.
Renewal at a Driver License Office

Can You Renew by Mail?

Drivers may renew through the mail for two consecutive license expirations. If you have had no convictions for driving violations in the past three years, or suspensions/revocations/disqualifications for the past seven years, your license will be renewed for four years. You will receive a mail-in renewal packet approximately 30 days prior to license expiration. After you return your payment, you will receive a four or six-year renewal sticker to be placed on the back of your current license.

I also looked this up from August 1,2001:

Can I renew my license online?

Yes. Just use the Express Lane. Driver license renewals can also be done by phone or by mail. If eligible to renew by mail, you will be sent a renewal application about 45 days before your birthday. Just return the application along with the appropriate fee in the enclosed envelope. An extension sticker or replacement license will be sent to you.

So - it looks like when this license was "issued" the expiration date may not have been tied to person's birthday, but it also says that licenses were issued for either four or six year periods. Not two. Hmmm...

Here's a site that has some interesting info on the license numbers used by Florida:

2. From Paul Thompson's Timeline
September 1999: BJ's Wholesale Club, a store in Hollywood, Florida, later tells the FBI that Atta may have held a BJ's membership card since at least this time ("more than two years"). Several cashiers at the store vaguely remember seeing Atta there. According to the official story, Atta doesn't arrive in the US until June 3, 2000.

So, in fact the shown licence would perfecty correspond to this.

6. looks fake...
The main thing I noticed is his birthday is wrong. From what I can find, his birthday is listed as September 1, 1968 I also wonder about the picture. This is the same picture that is on every website of him. The only credits I have been able to find is the FBI or justice department. Maybe they got it from florida dot, or maybe whoever forged this DL just took the pic from news reports.

Kevin.

7. Could you ask for a certain experation date?
Like if you told the person at the Secretary of States/Motor V office, "well, I'm leaving the country that day so..."
But either way, that is super creepy.

8. ya, i think it's fake

i went over to that letsroll thread and there was not even a link to the original story...i guess the person who began the thread seen it in a real paper "copy" of the NYD???

but i did happen onto this, from Ms. "Kamps" Malkin, about that weird event James Woods had on a plane-

"Imagine you're at a live-music event at a small night club and you're standing behind the singer. Everybody is clapping, going along, enjoying the show- and there's four guys paying no attention. What are they doing here?" Woods concluded that the men were "casing" the plane. He said that his concern led him to hang on to his cutlery after lunch. He shared his worries with a flight attendant. "I said, 'I think this plane is going to be hijacked.' I told her, 'I know how serious it is to say this,' and asked to speak to the captain." The flight attendant, too, was concerned. The plane's first officer came over immediately and assured Woods that he and the captain would keep the door to the cockpit locked. The remainder of the trip was bumpy but uneventful, and Woods recalled laughingly telling his agent, who asked about the flight, "Aside from the terrorists and the turbulence, it was fine."
