This site is along the lines that, yes, it was a 757, but yes, it was an inside job...

One thing that I found interesting :

"Just in case anybody was thinking that there were no other cameras I've added the following photo of the "SW Corner" of the Pentagon. It was taken by the same photographer on the same day. The flag is the one placed on 9/12/01 just to the right of the impact area. At least two of those cameras are facing the whole incident face on. Not to mention the one that was destroyed almost directly above the impact. Where is that footage?"

I thought it was a parody. What a joke. Given how busy the FBI was on confiscating evidence that day, they sure don't have a lot to say about the Pentagon strike. Not one word, in fact. Why did they even bother putting a page up?

9. The Camera on the corner look like a PTZ camera

A pan tilt zoom camera. This type of camera can move by using a joystick or directional buttons and zoom in up to 200X the magnification. There must be a central control station located where a guard can watch for trouble and zoom in pretty close to see what was going on.

The others are probably fixed lens cameras in a heater blower housing to keep the lens from fogging up. Most likely, these would be high definition video feeds with, depending on the system or software, would allow for a digital zoom. They may have pan and tilt capabilities but the dome on the right definitely looks like a dome ptz camera. It's odd, the cameras seem to be pointing straight out as opposed to down. I wonder if they were disabled due to renovation. That makes no sense but neither would pointing a camera straight out to the sky either. Weird.

The ones to the left of the PTZ maybe this type of camera.



The PTZ looks like it may be this style.



These are definitely cameras.
