The New World Order Bush Senior Used to Always Talk About
Do you think the New World Order (that Bush Sr. used to always talk about) runs both our political parties?

People like Alex Jones and Alan Watt continue to try and publish the list of members of organizations like the CFR, Trilateral commission, etc, who openly state that their goal is world government.

1. There is one party, The Money Party
I am not sure that it is as vastly orchestrated as Alex Jones claims, but it is easy to see that Money takes care of both sides of the aisle.

Proof of that is how when we scrapped the Glass Stengall Act in the nineties, only eight people voted against the Bill scrapping that protection. Thus, the way was paved for the banks and financial centers to become casinos. And we now know that Senator Dorgan was right when he said that the result of removing the Glass Stengall Act would be a financial calamity unlike anything we had seen previously.

4. Glass-Steagall.
I was pissed when they repealed it. Fuck Phil Gramm and his Republican cronies.

By the way - eight people voted against it in the Senate, but more voted against it in the House (wiki says 57, that seems about right).

Schadenfreude Wayback Machine: Glass-Steagall Edition

It's making the rounds today, but a quick skim of this 1999 article on the repeal of Glass-Steagall is just full of all sorts of infuriating passages. Give it a read.

From the New York Times on Nov. 5, 1999:

CONGRESS PASSES WIDE-RANGING BILL EASING BANK LAWS
http://www.nytimes.com/1999/11/05/business/congress-passes-wide-ranging-bill-easing-bank-laws.html?sec=&spon=&pagewanted=1&emc=eta1

A lead quote from a familiar name:

''Today Congress voted to update the rules that have governed financial services since the Great Depression and replace them with a system for the 21st century,'' Treasury Secretary Lawrence H. Summers said. ''This historic legislation will better enable American companies to compete in the new economy.''

It was true, until it wasn't.

9. That's why I posted.
I figured it would help out anyone who decided to go searching for more information on the act (and its repeal).

11. re:
It amazes me that people can accept Bush to be a part of this New World Order and assume Obama is not.

12. Yes, but usually
people who believe both these things don't try pimping their damage on a website that supports Obama. Many have gotten away with it since Bush was the one with the title, but now that Obama's in the White House, it's going to be harder to get away with that crap here. You've got to float with the times and find the audience that most suits your message.

Oh, by the way, Obama is part of the New World Order and Kerry wasn't?

8. Circa Iraq War I, the ads for various things
Like recruitment used the same weird stony eagles that World War II Nazis used.

I kept a bunch of the images from that period, but don't have the energy to go looking through the boxes in the basement for the one containing them.

Visuals are more important than words. And I nominate the expression "Homeland Security" for having that same creepy, energy sinking in your stomach, where the 'F%^k' did that come from? kind of weirdness as New World Order.

7. Thought about this topic when an environmentalist said this
In a video against Monsanto:

"It is not a conspiracy but a brilliantly executed takeover"

Which is pretty much right.

14. Indeed
Elaborate lies is another way to express what's going down.

There are people whose job consists of finding ways of communicating a message that would get people to do things that in the end would cause harm, all the while making big financial gains for a select few.

Those people get paid big money.
