For example, consider Franz Kafka, Max Brod, and their friends and colleagues. Although Kafka left instructions for his manuscripts to be destroyed, he created an opportunity for Max Brod to publish those manuscripts.

Kafka might not have been Irish, but consider the classification of Irish-Americans. Some Irish-Americans are women and therefore belong in the "women and minorities" category, but other Irish-Americans are clearly men and there is no realistic hope that it could be politically correct for them to be classified in the "women and minorities" category.

Similarly, partisan supporters of Kafka's works have no realistic hope that Kafka's works could be classified as anything other than one arm of a neo-colonial globalizing cultural imperialism that marginalizes third world languages and third world literature.
