Breaking News: Boloboffin Is No Longer An OCTer!

That's right. A few moments ago, I, boloboffin, signed a petition:

We, the undersigned, demand the immediate declassification and release of all transcripts and documents relating to the July 10, 2001 meeting that took place between former CIA Director George Tenet and then National Security Advisor, Condoleezza Rice. It has been alleged that this urgent and out-of-the-ordinary meeting was called to discuss the increasingly dire warnings of an imminent al Qaeda attack within the U.S.

Given that much of the July 10, 2001 meeting has already been made public in Bob Woodward’s newly released book, “State of Denial”, it is unacceptable to continue to keep these documents and transcripts hidden from the American public’s view.

In addition, we again call for the declassification and release of both the redacted 28 pages of the Joint Inquiry Into The Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001 (JICI) and the CIA Inspector General’s report, “CIA Accountability With Respect To The 9/11 Attacks”.

The disastrous nature of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks warrant the release of all of this information so that the American public may learn what its government did or did not do to protect them. Had this nation been properly warned of the looming and imminent terrorist threat, life saving choices could have been made that day.

However, I understand that Noam Chomsky has signed this petition as well, and this signature is being used as proof at the Loose Change Forum that Chomsky is now a Truther!

Imagine my surprise. I assure you I am embarrassed by this greatly, but if I must finally lay aside my OCT mantle once and for all, well, so be it. It's too important to get those papers released. In fact, I ask all of my former colleagues on the OCT side to sign this position, and renounce forever this OCT label. Who down with OCT? Well, you know me!

I still don't believe any of that rot about controlled demolition and plane denial, though, and as a prominent Truther around these parts, I expect my opinion to carry a lot of weight around here. After all, as ardent a OCTer as I once was, my conversion must give me a great deal of credibility. To the truth, as ascertained by the actual facts and properly interpreted by those who know what they are talking about, and to wherever that truth takes us!

This is not my claim, person-who-is-definitely-not-Killtown. I signed the petition. Chomsky signed the petition. Because Chomsky signed the petition, Loose Changers claimed he was a Truther. That makes me a Truther too. I am shocked at this development as anyone, but since signing the petition makes me a Truther, and since I agree with every word in that petition, I must be a Truther. The logic is unassailable.

A second thing: what the hell was I thinking about some of these links? To wit: early on in my blogging life as Bolo, I ran across an interesting site. It looks very well put together, and it supported Israel. Well, I support Israel. I also support the Palestians, and I think that some way of getting along with each other can be found, even if it means locking up the extremists on both sides of the issue. So I linked to the site.

It was Little Green Footballs.

All I know is, I must have surfed by on their tamest day ever.

Now today I'm going through and I'm finding - well, not so egregious an error as LGF, but some dandies. War bloggers that openly deride the Democratic Party, mostly. I don't know why I ever linked to them. Maybe somebody got my password.

OK, GK III was kinda sucky but I don't think that was Jane Jensen's doing. Sins of the Fathers is still my favorite game of all time. I remember playing it for the first time and becoming completely lost in the story.

I thought the problem with III was me. As my stalker just dug up on me, I did a lot of pre-game research on the topic and came up with everything that was going on in the story before I even played it. I don't know what the experience would have been if I hadn't done that.

My problems with GK III had to do with the gameplay, character design and 3-D engine. The gameplay was just not up to par and the puzzles often bordered on the ridiculous (remember getting the cat hair?). The character design just didn't catch the spirit of the characters I thought. Of course, neither did the actors they used in GKII. And the 3-D engine was just annoying. I think the thing that so captured me about Sins of the Fathers was that whole graphic novel feel to it along with the incredible voice-acting (Tim Curry as Gabriel rocked and I just fell in love with Leah Remini as Grace). Not to mention one of the best damn stories ever. I really wish Jane Jensen could be persuaded to write another GK story and somehow the intellectual property for the GK games could be wrested away from whomever owns it now so we could get GKIV.

There was always the "ghosts in Scotland" rumor rattling around. I tried writing some fan fiction in the Schatenjager world, but never finished anything. I actually thought I had a great story for the raising of the walls around Rittersberg, involving the clan of Sawney Beane. But I never finished it, and now I've taken out all the Shadow Knight stuff and have it just about the Beane clan. Yes, I know the hills have eyes, but how about a historical horror movie? Fun, fun fun.

Well, finding a fellow Gabriel Knight fan is a treat! I'm hoping that Gametap will encode Sins. That would be worth the monthly fee, to be able to play that game again...
