Y'all need to quit worrying about the weather!
Edited on Sat Jan-06-07 11:38 PM by dbt
Your elected representatives have things under control--as in Weather Control And Modification, as in Senate Bill 517, as introduced by Kay Bailey Hutchison (R-Texas) in March of 2005.

Surely the 110th Congress will see the wisdom of this proposed legislation and put it on the fast track before we all drown in melted glaciers or burn up this summer!

As you can readily see from reading this bill, it won't cost us anything or result in violation of our privacy.

So it is now incumbent on each and every right-thinking DUer to call upon our shiny happy new Democratic Congress and demand that this bill be passed! Once again, our goverment will ride to our rescue, just in time!!!

Yours For Greener Pastures,

2. Will weather modification be possible?
The chain of atmospheric conditions that is our weather is so complex that it is virtually impossible to change one area and expect the rest of the weather patterns to remain the same.

sitting on our hands and saying boo hoo the job is too big won't save the planet when greenland and siberia melt

unless we try it.

5. It has been possible so far, why would it be no longer possible?

Never mind wiki, mind the sources that the articles refer to.

9. Well, since groups are only open to donors...
the mods, rightly so IMHO, dump all conspiracy and pseudoscience threads in this forum - which is open to everyone.

13. What would it say about someone
who would spend what must amount to hours a day taunting and starting arguments with people who they thought were "kooky"?
For example, I think that believing in Martians would be sort of "kooky", and there probably are people who believe in Martians, but I don't seek them out and try to prove them wrong. So, perhaps, you are being disingenuous?
