The ground floor of first WTC hit
In the documentary by the Naudet brothers footage of the bottom floor of the first tower hit is shown. It looks as though it was part of the blast and they go on to say that the reason why it was all blown apart is that jet fuel went 80 plus stories down an elevator shaft and blew out the windows and made a mess.

Watching footage of the first plane hit the tower, a hell of a lot of fuel is burned up in a huge fireball on the outside of the building. I wondered how much fuel it would have taken to shoot down 80 stories and blow out all those windows on the ground floor. Has there been a lot of discussion on this?

1. Recently watched
the 3 part 'Mysteries of 911'. They show footage (part 3 I think) from the Naudets of the lobby with the windows blown out. Can't recall seeing any signs of smoke or flame damage.

2. Something sent out a shock wave
but I doubt if it came all the way from the 80th floor.

3. YES....
Discussed recently at length, and speaking from my experience building more of those elevator shafts than I care to think about(started another one today), the fuel down the elevator shaft blowing everything up on the lower floors thing is one of the lamest things to come out of the OCT, but like a bad penny, it keeps popping up as frequently as the rediculous "pancake theory". That's my opinion, with personal experience to back it up, and I'm sticking to it. Thanks.

4. Even if it were possible
The plane lost a lot of fuel on impact. It doesn't take any special training to look at a fireball that size and deduce a lot of fuel caused it. The whole theory on a fireball blowing out the windows on the bottom floor is silly.

5. The fuel tanks in the wings and fuselage were shredded when
the plane went through the perimeter columns. The fuel was then moving 400 mph.

Let's see, fuel moving 400 mph stopped in 100 feet, changed direction 90 degrees
and fell down the elevator shaft?

6. Are you saying it did?
Or questioning if it did?

7. I wouldn't say it's impossible that fuel fell down the elevator
shafts. Most of the elevators only went as far as the sky lobbies, though,
and I doubt the shafts were continuous if they didn't need to be.

I'd hate to have to make the case that the fuel fell down the express shafts.
Is there any evidence for similar explosions at the sky lobby under the impact
zone?

I have not examined the blueprints and don't know where the express elevator
shafts were situated. I suppose it's possible that the fuel was slowed by
breaking down multiple drywall partitions before it reached the express shafts.

I could be convinced, maybe, but I don't believe fuel made it to the basement.

8. Ok
I wasn't sure. I don't think it was possible. And just this fact alone is worth questioning the whole "official" story. How did all those windows blow out of the first floor?

9. William Rodriguez just received his radio transcripts from 9/11/01
His supervisor is asking him to report and talks about a hugh explosion in B1 which is a sub-basement.
It's clear now that a very large blast happened in the sub-basement very early during the first strike- enough
energy to destroy a multi-ton piece of heavy equipment and rip the flesh off of people.

Let's not forget the elevator shaft jag at the 78th and I believe a second one at the 40th-42nd floor that would not allow what little fuel
survived the initial fireball to flow downward.

Not enough energy to explain the physical conditions on the ground- as usual.

What the fuck?

10. It wasn't the elevator shafts that had a jag
It was the staircases that had to go around the elevator hoists on the 81st floor.

However, in order to eliminate a chimney effect, except for the express elevators, all the other elevators shafts were divided into sections and sealed from the section below it.

It is very unlikely that fuel or a fire ball went all the way down an elevator shaft to the lobby to explode there.

11. I guess this is one of those topics that can't be explained
It looks like there has yet to be some magical explanation for the ground floor looking like it was bombed by a "fireball".

12. Willam Rodriguez-hero
To add to what ediedidcare said in #9, William Rodriguez experienced a blast coming from the "floors below" just PRIOR to the impact of Flight 11.He was on B1,the highest basement floor at the time of the blast. He said he thought it came from B2 or B3. Also..I think this is very interesting.. the sprinkler systems were set off on the basement floors from the initial blast.

Everyone should hear him speak! http://kpfa.org/archives/index.php?show=13&month=07&year=2006 weds July 26th.
