9/11: The Swiss did it?

In October in 2001, Time Magazine had an article about the rumors surrounding 9/11. It had a sentence that said:

Wedge-driving rumors--Jews or Arabs had prior knowledge, Arab gas-station attendants were seen celebrating, and--get this--the Swiss did it to raise the price of gold--arise from anger and hate.

Has anyone actually heard of that rumor before? Links?

And are there any other theories that don't involve Arab hijackers or the U.S. gov't? I heard that the Mafia were involved in one theory.

1. The only other one I've head is the Mossad, which is total A$$ IMO

no matter what happens someone will jump up and blame Jewish folk for it. It tends to just get that "yeah whatever" reaction thank god.

Did Time have foreknowledge of the 9/11 attacks? It's as though they were trying to inoculate the real perps through the means of a divide, demonize, and conquer strategy. Knowing that a portion of the public would likely quickly realize that 9/11 was an inside job, Time was taking the most exreme rumored conspiracies and using them to discredit everyone and anyone that questions whether the Gov't lied about what happened. Discrediting by labeling 9/11 skeptics as "Conspiracy Theorists" is what Time (The Weekly Fiction Magazine) was doing.
